July, 2017 - The 2nd quarter saw the Kelly L shouldering the earnings for the company. The management team including Project Manager David Johnston, Captain Gadson Segree, Chief Nick Ranger, SSHO ’ s Chad Hodges and Jeff Ballas and the entire crew of the Kelly L (with great assists from Ethan Clark, Justin Slater, and Shane Neal) demonstrated a high degree of professionalism. We are proud of you. Your continued efforts will show well in the forthcoming 3rd quarter Tuscaloosa work.
The Integrity prepped and mobilized to the Red River below Lock 2 against a flooding Mississippi River. They are off to a good start. This job looks very promising and the team is becoming more cohesive every day. The Ingenuity has been idle for the quarter, but now has the Mermentau River maintenance dredging project for the New Orleans District. Work should commence sometime in July.
We continue to focus on our goals of an Injury Free Workplace and increased mechanical efficiency in order to be the least cost producer of dredging services. It is early in the year, but we are tracking well in these areas. Continue to stay focused on safety and increasing running time for the 3rd and 4th quarters. We are now 99% complete with our new safety video which will aide in the new employee orientation process. Our new web site is also nearing completion and should be up and running soon. Thank you and keep up the good work and have a safe and productive 3rd quarter.
